Biocom Partnership: Building Bridges into Biotech

February 16, 2025

What the Initiative Is:

The Biocom Partnership creates career pathways for entry-level and mid-career professionals in the biotech and life sciences industries. Acting as a trusted intermediary, Biocom is supporting the hiring needs within the Biosciences industry through talent acquisition, outsourcing support, and a fellowship program to build talent pipelines. These initiatives not only help companies address workforce challenges but also empower individuals to build lasting careers in a high-growth, high-impact industry.

What We’ve Learned:

The fellowship program proved particularly impactful, providing participants with professional networks, mentorship, and hands-on experience. Employers expressed appreciation for the partnership’s ability to streamline hiring and training processes. We also learned that trusted messengers, like Biocom, play a critical role in building credibility and fostering collaboration in industries with complex hiring landscapes.

Key Activities:

  • Intentional and strategic engagement of relevant industry associations
  • Jointly planned and branded events to gain business and job seeker buy-in
  • Inclusion of industry partner in multiple service modalities

How It Shapes the Future:

The success of this partnership highlights the importance of industry-specific intermediaries. Moving forward, we will explore similar partnerships in other high-demand sectors and invest in models that combine workforce development with employer needs. This approach will ensure that our system remains agile and responsive to emerging industry trends.
